Description: Join Dr. Linver on an informative journey that addresses the common challenges and rewards of the diagnostic exam in Breast Imaging. He will discuss the efficacy of the utilization of all imaging modalities for problem-solving, including the use of additional views, US and MRI. Dr. Linver will share his perspective on the diagnostic exam from experience working with dedicated technologists for over 35 years and as a radiologist who understands the important role of the technologist, especially in situations where patient anxiety may be highest. He will describe the best way we can all work together, while providing the best in patient care, to answer common questions that are presented during the diagnostic workup.
Dr. Linver has worked extensively with ACR and SBI Committees and has been a tireless educator who champions both radiologist and technologist education. He has received numerous awards for his work; this past year receiving the prestigious Gold Medal Award from the Society of Breast Imaging. Dr. Linver is the Clinical Professor of Radiology at the University of New Mexico, and Director Emeritus of the Breast Imaging Center of X-Ray Associates of New Mexico, P.C., in Albuquerque. For over 35 years, he has been a busy lecturer on mammography, having presented over 1,300 lectures in the U.S. & in 24 other countries around the world. He is the author of over 60 published articles and textbook chapters on mammography, and is a strong political proponent of quality mammography, having helped to shape the Final Rules of the Mammography Quality Standards Act and the BIRADS Atlas.
