Julzen Ramos

BREAST IMAGING CONSULTANT
Julzen currently works as an Imaging Specialist in Mammography at Sunrise Hospital’s Breast Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. She began her healthcare career in patient care over 15 years ago, where she discovered a deep interest in X-ray and mammography, largely inspired by working closely with breast cancer survivors and caring for patients from all walks of life.
She is certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and licensed in both Radiologic Technology and Mammography. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management and Leadership, with a focus on Radiation Imaging Management.
Over nearly a decade in leadership roles, Julzen has contributed to several impactful projects, including helping open an outpatient clinic in Washington State, which offers mammography, diagnostic imaging, and ambulatory surgical services. Her strong communication and organizational skills have been key in improving department workflows and procedures.
Throughout her career, Julzen has helped guide three facilities through successful MQSA inspections, and brings experience in quality control, staff scheduling, and a wide range of breast imaging procedures, including tomosynthesis, screening and diagnostic mammograms, stereotactic and MRI-guided biopsies, and needle localizations. Beyond mammography, she continues to stay proficient in X-ray and DEXA (bone density) imaging.
Julzen has dedicated time in mentoring the next generation of mammography technologists, staying up-to-date with the latest imaging technologies, and promoting best practices in the field. She continues to support mammography professionals nationwide as a Breast Imaging Consultant with Mammography Educators.
Outside of work, Julzen is active in her church community, where she sings in the choir. She also loves spending time with family and friends, trying out new restaurants, and playing pickleball. When she has quiet time, she enjoys practicing calligraphy and diving into a good book.
