What’s included in our MIT Program?

Mammography Educators Mammography Initial Training Course

  • 40-hour course that meets MQSA and state requirements
  • 8-hours Digital Mammography Training
  • Over 25 years of Mammography Initial Training (MIT) experience
  • Academic based, enthusiastic and fun faculty

 

While no previous mammography experience is required in order to participate in the MIT program, all students must meet at least ONE of the following prerequisites:

  • Current licensure as a certified Radiologic Technologist by the Radiologic Health Branch in state of residence
  • Active licensure as a registered Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Currently enrolled in a Certified School of Radiologic Technology

Cancellation Policy:

Full refunds on in-person courses will be granted with at least two weeks advance notice in writing. For cancellations received with less than two weeks notice, funds can be applied to a future in-person course, less a $75 administrative fee. No refunds will be made after the in-person course. In the event of a documented emergency, Mammography Educators may, at its discretion, waive the administrative fee.

Mammography Educators reserves the right to cancel any in-person scheduled courses due to low advance registration or other reasons. Mammography Educators’ liability is limited to a full refund of any tuition paid. In case of a cancellation, Mammography Educators is not responsible for travel costs incurred by attendees, including non-refundable airline tickets. We recommend that attendees purchase refundable airline tickets whenever possible.
