Over 25 years ago, the UCSD School of Medicine began offering initial mammography training for technologists and since has trained thousands of
technologists from around the world. From the Practicum’s inception, Louise Miller, served as the program’s Director and, later, Co-Director.
In September of 2013 Louise retired from UCSD, and made the decision not to go forward with the Practicum. We are pleased to say that she now serves as Mammography Educators’ Director of Education.
As Mammography Educators, we recognize the need for quality initial training in mammography, so we continue to offer the same program: a Mammography Training Course for technologists who need and want the best in initial mammography education. We proudly retained most of the faculty from the UCSD program.
