BREAST IMAGING CONSULTANT
Sarah is a Breast Imaging Consultant with Mammography Educators. In previous roles, she was the Mammography Coordinator at Allina Health’s New Ulm Medical Center, and the Lead Mammography Technologist and Patient Experience Team Leader for Mayo Clinic Health System in St. James, Minnesota. She is an active member of the Society of Breast Imaging's Patient Care and Delivery Team, and previously served on the National Consortium of Breast Center’s Planning Committee.
Sarah enjoys educating through writing and currently writes for both the Technologist Column and the Wellness Column in the Society of Breast Imaging’s quarterly newsletter. Sarah has previously been a guest writer for The Scanner, the ASRT’s quarterly publication. She has been fortunate to train under the mentorship and guidance of Ms. Louise Miller, R.T.(R)(M) and is dedicated to providing guidance to breast imaging teams across the country.
Sarah is devoted to supporting fellow mammography technologists in achieving excellence in mammography positioning. In all her work, she strongly promotes superior standards of communication with her patients and colleagues. Her expertise includes mammography positioning, quality control, MQSA inspection preparation, ACR accreditation, stereotactic biopsy, and digital breast tomosynthesis. Sarah has experience with standardization of protocols, policy and procedure development and analysis.
Sarah resides in Madelia, Minnesota and enjoys staying active with her busy family. If she’s not attending one of the various sporting events of her three children, she spends her “free” time running, reading, cooking, and traveling.
