Do I qualify for this course?

No mammography experience is required, though all students must meet at least ONE of the following prerequisites: Current licensure as a certified Radiologic Technologist by the Radiologic Health Branch in state of residence or Active licensure as a registered Radiologic Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).

Do you have payment plans available?

Is this course fully accredited?

Yes, absolutely! It is accredited by ASRT for 40 Category A credits.

Once I start the course, do I have a time limit to complete it?

There is no time limit to complete the course. However, the sooner you complete it and pass your boards, the sooner you'll be a mammographer, enjoying your new career and all the benefits that come with it!

We frequently receive inquiries from breast centers looking for qualified technologists - they look to us as the expert. That's why we've created MammoJobs for you to connect with prospective employers.

After completing the training course, is there a maximum time limit to take the mammography exam after completion?

We recommend that you take the exam within a timely manner so the information is fresh in your mind. ARRT states that you must have earned all credits within 24 months of the date you apply for certification and registration in the new discipline. In addition, we encourage you to check with your individual state regarding specific requirements for licensing in your practicing state and/or receiving their advanced certification in mammography.

Enrolling in our MIT Refresher "course" will set you up for success! You will be paired with a senior Breast Imaging Consultant for direct email support as well as receive:

One-hour coaching session via phone or Zoom so you have the opportunity to have all your questions answered by one of
Half-hour live image review session so you can improve positioning and obtain the best images possible, which will lead to early detection of breast cancer

You will have lifetime access to all that is included: recorded video lectures and coaching sessions (if scheduled through Zoom), digital handouts to use as a study-aide, test-taking tips from other MIT students, hard copies of both textbooks (a valuable resource throughout your mammography career) and a certificate of completion for 27.5 Category-A CEUs approved by ASRT.
